In this whisper video, I will read you an excerpt from "Metamorphoses" by Apuleius in which the main character describes his adoration and encounter with the Ancient Egyptian goddess Isis.

I located and read the excerpt (originally translated by J. Gwyn Griffith) on pages 68-71 of the book, "The Mysteries of Isis" by DeTraci Regula (2001).

Fun fact: The Metamorphoses novel, also referred to as The Golden Ass, is the only Latin novel to survive in its entirety.

I hope this whisper reading soothes and relaxes you. Thank you so much for listening! :)

Please excuse my dog's barks at 6:20 and 6:39-6:43. I thought it wouldn't get picked up as I was in a closed room away from him, but of course the camera picks up everything! I hope it doesn't spoil the reading for any of you!
